A true story:
Mary was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. After the initial shock, the courageous mother of four decided to face the disease head on and undergo a lumpectomy, 6 months of intensive chemo-therapy followed by 4 rounds of radiation therapy. While her body went through many changes including weight loss and hair loss, Mary was able to stay positive and always looked beautiful. From days that began in the hospital with a chemo therapy treatment to afternoon tea with a friend and then to supporting her children at their sports games, Mary needed clothes that allowed her to feel comfortable while looking her best. Through the help of her daughters she was equipped with a new colorful and accommodating wardrobe that inspired her to feel better everyday. While Mary's new wardrobe was not the cure for her cancer, her positive attitude, strength and active role contributed to her clean bill of health. Style for the Soul wishes to provide every woman with the tools to look their best and ignite a positive and beautiful lifestyle that will aid in their health and heart.

Project Echo is proud to provide foundational support to the new Toronto based program called Style for the Soul. This incredible program has been started by Echo Director Thomas Hall's younger sister, and inspired by his mother who is referenced in the above passage.
Style for the Soul is an educational program based out of Toronto that provides women living with cancer with the tools to look beautiful and feel more self confident. Style tip books, informational sessions and personal consultations will make it easy for women dealing with cancer who are looking for wardrobe and image enhancements to participate in the program.
Style guides offer tips on color choices, fabrics and cuts for diverse people and body types. In a considerate and accommodating way, the needs of those going through cancer treatments will be met. Style for the Soul will create a community for all women to connect on a personal level by acknowledging the importance of having high self esteem and looking their best while dealing with cancer.
Style for the Soul is in need of support from major Canadian clothing companies and brands. If you or someone you know would like to get involved with retail sponsorship please contact them.
Style for Soul was launched in the Spring of 2011.
