Celebrity Poker Tournament

Project Echo was proud to support the first annual Project Echo Celebrity Poker Tournament hosted by Obby Khan.

The poker tournament took place on Thursday May 26, 2011 at McPhillips Street Station Casino. The room was packed full of avid poker players, first timers and of course the professional athletes who were drastically varied in poker skill level. The evening raised in excess of $6000 for SOS Children's Villages and the Winnipeg Project.

Sports fans were rewarded with autographed posters and a special 'bounty' for each time they knocked out a celebrity. A signed Bomber hat was rewarded to the 12 players who showed that they could play poker with the pros.

Those who came out had a great time while supporting an incredible cause. The Winnipeg Project is Project Echo's only international effort. We aim to provide complete funding for up to 10 orphaned children in the war torn region of Namibia, Africa.
