Nicknamed "Pump your Chests for Breasts" the event was a fundraiser for a local breast cancer initiative "Keeping Abreast". Held at the MTS Centre, the event was well received. There were over 40 competitors who collectively raised over $6000.
Ryan Espey, the men's division winner, pressed the bar an impressive 505 times for a total of 22,725 lbs moved (weight lifted X repetitions).The women’s division saw Tanya Nowolski press the bar 190 times. Leigh Mollison, trainer at Elite Performance, would love to see "Pump your Chest for Breasts" become an annual event.
