December 2011
Dear Project Echo Supporter,
I am writing today to request your involvement in Sam’s Christmas, an initiative of Project Echo.
Sam’s Christmas is a long-standing tradition whose sole goal is to provide local disadvantaged families with a Christmas to remember. Last year, we successfully realized our vision of giving twenty Winnipeg families hot turkey dinners and desserts, blankets, personalized gifts, perishable and non-perishable food hampers, desktop computers, diapers and new outdoor winter clothing, among other items.
Thanks to our Sam’s Christmas 2010 supporters, we provided 65 incredible children and their parents with an unforgettable Christmas. The experience of delivering the hampers was an emotional one for many of our Project Echo volunteers. The children laughed and excitedly unwrapped their presents from Santa and the parents stood and cried tears of joy as Project Echo volunteers carried in box after box of items for each of the 20 young families. It was evident to all that we had made a life changing difference.
The season for giving will be upon us before we know it and Project Echo is committed to helping even more families this year through the Sam’s Christmas initiative. We have drastically increased the number of families who will receive support in 2011 to 100. We are confident that, with your commitment to help, we can once again redefine the holiday season for some of Winnipeg’s least fortunate.
Our main need right now is for volunteer groups and/or families to deliver the hampers. We are excited about the opportunity to further spread the ‘Echo’ and get more families to experience the positive feelings associated with Sam’s Christmas. Volunteer families are asked to make a $100 donation, which is tax deductable and will be used to ensure that each hamper is complete.
Please complete the information on the back and return the form and cash or cheque to me. Alternatively, you can email the information from the form to heather@elitewinnipeg.com and mail a cheque to Project Echo Inc, c/o Elite Performance, 91 Lowson Cres, Winnipeg, MB, R3P 0T3.
Sincerely,
