My apologies for the tardiness on the latest BLOG update....please give me a moment to explain.
ECHO has been extremely busy over the past year...most notably with a new relationship created with Mark's clothing that has provided ECHO with over $ 600.000.00 dollars of BRAND-NEW clothing.
Our warehouse team. lead by the fearless and lovely Janice Moore spent literally her whole summer at Clearline storage (graciously donated by Greg Libbrecht et al) creating an inventory system and distributing them to the people who need it most in our city....Women's programs, Siloam and Lighthouse Missions were just a few of the great organizations that received literally HUNDREDS of moving BOXES of new, unused fall and winter clothing.....
In July, the "ghost of Christmas Past" visited and reminded us of the goal we had set for Sam's Christmas 2012....of 250 families (over 1000 people).
Since July, our board and literally hundreds of others have pushed forward with 1 vision as our goal....to PROVIDE A SPECIAL DAY this Holiday Season to 250 families....
Well, with just under 3 weeks to go 'till d-day, we are looking strong and very prepared in what is sure to be the biggest undertaking of Project-ECHO to date....
Saying that, there are still many things YOU can do to help this Sam's Christmas and it starts with an email to director@project-echo.com ....and finishes with you feeling GREAT about a dream you made come true.
You will be hearing from me daily until the delivery dates of Dec 15-16th.
Let's do something GREAT!
Onward and Upward,
Jeff Fisher
co-founder of Project-ECHO
and Sam's Grandson
